Time Magazine Editors' Citation: 'Best of 1985'

The 10,500 square foot water resources municipal utility district facility serves as the administrative seat for The Woodlands’ water districts. It also serves as town hall for community activities as well as a court for the local justice of the peace. The megaron-like central public space, defined by colored, gridded stucco, is flanked by two office blocks articulated in brick banded with concrete block.
