Houston AIA Honor Award 1987

A 2,500 square foot house on a corner lot in an older neighborhood in Austin, for a family of four, is organized around a central light well. The square plan reinforces the corner siting and allows for an entrance porch within one quadrant of the structure. The two street edges are marked by local cut limestone garden walls that engage in the mass of the house and garage.
